Big Change for Artists this year!
For the 2012 Show the committee decided to do away with the portion of the artists commission going to the Community Centre, in an effort to attract more artists. We hope to gain more interest from local artist to come and show and hopefully sell their art. Registration fee is $40, the application package can be downloaded from the right tool bar of this blog!

About the Art on the Severn
The fifth annual Art on the Severn Juried Art Show and Sale will be held at the Washago Community Centre in Washago, Ontario at the junction County Rd 169 and Hwy 11 on July 14, & 15th 2012. The opening gala for artists, volunteer’s and local dignitaries will be held July 13th at 7pm.
Washago, historically known as the “stepping off” point for those headed west or north on the railway. Washago is situated on the north shore of Lake Couchiching where the Trent Severn Waterway flows from its headwaters in Georgian Bay. This is a community that has evolved from a frontier post into a thriving village. Washago continues growing as both an increase in its regional commerce and its idyllic setting attract new residents.
The Washago Community will host exhibitors in its community centre, the gathering place of support, learning and celebration. It is a focal point for those who call Washago home.
Funds raised at this event will support the Washago Community Centre.
